New Delhi:

A suspected suicide bomber has hit a convoy of foreign troops in Afghanistan's Bagram. According to initial reports, at least three civilians and an unknown number of foreign troops injured, Afghan media said. 

Bagram houses the US Military headquarters in the war torn country. 

"The blast occurred in Qalai Nasro area of Bagram district, which houses largest US base in the country. Muhammad Zaman Mamozai, the provincial police chief, told that at least three civilians were injured in the bombing," 1TV Afghanistan reported. 

Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, TOLO News said. 

The attack comes on the 15th anniversary on 9/11 attacks. On this day in 2001, Osama bin Laden led Al Qaeda had attacked World Trade Towers and Pentagon in the United States, killing 2997 people.
