Delhi weather: Light to moderate showers in national capital today

Moderate showers lashed the national capital in the early hours of Tuesday, bringing down the mercury by several notches. Showers of varying intensity are likely to continue till September 26. The maximum temperature is expected to settle at 29 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department. The minimum temperature is expected to be around 24 degrees Celsius and humidity will be around 90 per cent.

On Monday, the rainfall in Delhi recorded by Safdarjung observatory was 24 mm, while the Palam observatory recorded 24.5 mm rainfall. The rainfall recorded at the Lodhi Road observatory was 20.2 mm while the rainfall recorded by Aya Nagar observatory was 23 mm, according to IMD official. The minimum temperature was recorded at 24 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year, while the maximum temperature settled at 27 degrees Celsius, six notches below normal," MeT official said. The humidity level was recorded at 100 per cent.
