Deoria Shelter Home Case: Uttar Pradesh government recommends CBI probe
The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday recommended a CBI probe in Deoria Shelter Home Case to the CBI and said a Special Investigation Team was being set up under Additional Director General (ADG) Crime, according to sources.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the government will file a chargesheet against the District Magistrate of Deoria.

“CBI had said in 2015-16 there were financial irregularities here, when we came to power in 2017 we ordered its closure. District administration did not act on time, so DM was transferred and today we have decided to chargesheet him” ANI quoted Adityanath as saying.

As many as 24 girls were rescued from a shelter home in Uttar Pradesh’s Deoria on Sunday (August 6) after a girl escaped from the shelter home and informed the police that everyone inside the home were being treated like servants.
