Madhya Pradesh Exit Polls: BJP likely to win 23 seats, Congress may bag 6 seats

With the polling for eight seats in the fourth and final phase of Lok Sabha elections, one of the most bitterly fought, in Madhya Pradesh came to an end on Sunday evening. News Nation, India’s most trusted news channel, came out with the exit polls of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh on 6.30 pm.
Voting in 29 Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh was held across four phases of Lok Sabha elections. Madhya Pradesh voted in four phases on April 29, May 6, 12 and 19. In Chhattisgarh, the voting was held on April 11, 18 and 23. The schedule for seven-phase Lok Sabha elections in the country, beginning April 11, was announced by the Election Commission in Delhi. The counting of votes will be taken up on May 23.

According to Today's Chanakya, the BJP is predicted to win 9 seats, the Congress may bag 2 seats, while Others may end up with 0 seats.

This election, the BJP dropped former Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh's son and the sitting MP, Abhishek Singh, from its list of candidates who contested the Lok Sabha polls in the state. The party instead fielded Santosh Pandey from the Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha seat.

People in Bhind, Morena, Sagar, Vidisha, Bhopal, Gwalior, Rajgarh and Guna voted on May 12 whereas the remaining eight seats of Dhar, Ratlam, Ujjain, Mandsour, Dewas, Indore, Khargone and Khandwa voted in the last phase on Sunday.

Satna, Tikamgarh, Betul, Rewa, Hoshangabad, Khajuraho and Damoh went to the polls in the fourth phase on May 6.
