Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's conviction in the 20-year old blackbuck poaching case has come as a big shock for the entire movie industry.
He was convicted of killing two blackbucks - an endangered species - in 1998 while he was shooting for his movie Hum Saath Saath Hain.
Salman's co-accused stars Tabu, Sonali Bendre, Saif Ali Khan and Tabu were acquitted of the charges in the poaching case.
While the Sultan actor was awarded a sentence of five years in jail, his conviction has sent down a wave of grief in the industry.
In fact, several celebs took it to micro-blogging site Twitter to express their views on Salman Khan's conviction in the blackbuck poaching case.

#IStandWithSalmanKhan #BlackBuckPoachingCase— Manveer Gurjar (@imanveergurjar) April 5, 2018
What happened back in 1998 was wrong and I am sure Salman bhai regrets that and GOD up there must have given it back to him also by now in his own way.The man whos heart is the reason behind thousands of hearts beating today ❤️@BeingSalmanKhan #WeSupportSalmankhan— Suyyash Rai (@suyyashrai) April 5, 2018
It’s really wrong that Court has sent Salman khan to jail. Who will be responsible if something will happen to him in the Jail. Jodhpur jail is not safe for him at all.— KRKBOXOFFICE (@KRKBoxOffice) April 5, 2018
