Actress turned Author, Twinkle Khanna is blessed with the a strong sense of humour and not mincing her words is another trait that never fails to entertain the audience. At the launch of her new book titled 'Pyjamas are forgiving', Twinkle opened up about her mom Dimple Kapadia and gave another example of her wit and humour.
At the book release event on Friday, filmmaker Karan Johar, who is also one of her oldest friends, turned host. Karan asked her that why she has dedicated the book to her mother Dimple Kapadia. On this, Twinkle replied, "She (Dimple Kapadia) was rather surprised when she found out that I dedicated this book to her because she has never encouraged me in anything. She has always tried to pick faults. When I first started writing columns, one of them became very popular and I called her up to ask her if she has read it and she replied - 'No, but I wanted to tell you over dinner last night that none of your serving dishes match."
Nagging her mother, the 43-year-old writer said, “I was so pissed off with her that I said ‘What’s the use of having you as a mother? I wish Hema Malini was my mother. At least I would get a Kent water purifier free.”
We wonder how her mother, Dimple Kapadia would have reacted after listening to this and if Hema ji wishes the same!
The actress who was last seen in the 2001 flick, Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Krega is soaring high on her book’s success. On Tuesday, she took to Instagram to share that Pyjamas are Forgiving was ranked No. 1 on the Crossword fiction list and No. 2 on Amazon. “Hurrah! And It really seems to be my day! Guess who is at No 1 at Crossword and No 2 on Amazon #PyjamasAreForgiving@crosswordbookstores @email@example.com”, She captioned the image.View this post on Instagram
