After entertaining the audience with her bubbly avatar in her last release Judwaa 2, Taapse Pannu is back in a yet another fun-filled movie Dil Juunglee opposite Saqib Saleem.

The movie, which is helmed by Aleya Sen, is a fun, romantic buddy comedy, which will take you on a nostalgic trip to your first love.

Indeed, the lead pair Taapsee and Saqib, who are sharing the screen space for the second time, are quite excited about Dil Junglee.

Talking about the same, Saqib had told Firstpost, "There’s no melodrama in the film. Also, there’s no sleaze or lust. There’s innocence of first love in the film. It's a love story at the end of it but you can’t discount the fun factor from the film — the madness and the jungleepan (wildness) amongst friends. It is also a coming-of-age story for every character because there is a leap in the film wherein people grow up and mature. It talks about the decision one took at 20-21 and how they evolve when they turn 27-28. We have also tried to keep this film real and contemporary so I am hopeful that audience will be able to connect with our film."

Dil Junglee has hit the silver screens this Friday and while the trailer had left the audience curious about the movie, here's what the leading dailies have to say about Taapsee-Saqib starrer.

NDTV: Everything about Dil Juunglee is a bit on the wild side, completely arbitrary and illogical. The screenplay does not, for instance, care to explain why Koroli would want to spend as much time as she does with her ex-flame when her life has moved well and truly away from Sumeet's orbit. Of course, the audience knows where the narrative is headed as Koroli and Sumeet loiter around the city, allowing the camera to take in the sights of London. Without any convincing psychological underpinnings to help it along, the romantic drama can only limp and lurch without striking any highs.

Hindustan Times: Dil Junglee is an age-old story, told with a hundred stereotypes, none of which helps it. It is only Taapsee’s charming presence and Saqib’s earthiness that keep us entertained. Taapsee looks authentic in both the avatars that she dons in the film. Saqib, too, provides ample support with his realistic portrayal of a middle-class Delhi boy. In fact, almost all the actors — Saqib’s mom, his friend, Taapsee’s friend and his fiancée — make the film lively.

India TV: As the film’s tagline suggest, the film narrates the tale of evolution of love from college life to real life. While watching the film, you’ll be compelled the walk down the memory lane of the times when the warmth of puppy love was wrapped around you. It’s a light hearted romantic comedy which is boosted by the chartbuster tracks like Gazab Ka Hai Din, Dil Jaane Na, Bandeya and many more. Alaya Sen as a debut director does justice to her job. She is the co-founder of India’s one of the leading production houses, Chrome Pictures. She has done her best in shaping Taapsee Pannu and Saqib Saleem’s character in the rom-com.

DNA: People often shed their inhibitions and do silly things in love. Keeping in sync with this idea, Dil Juunglee takes you on a rollercoaster ride of two hearts, from their naive college days to the time when the meaning of love evolves into something deeper for them. While every love story has its own charm, nothing matches the innocence, and madness of campus courtships. First-time director Aleya Sen reminds you of your first romance with this ode to the carefree and wild spirit of youngsters.
