Khichdi 3: Amit Dolawat to make a comeback on JD Majethia show

The third season of popular comedy show Khichdi has managed to hog the light since the first episode and has been getting positive reviews from the audience.

While each episode is coming up with new surprises for the viewers, the show is going to have a new addition to its cast now.

According to the reports, television actor Amit Dolawat will soon be entering Khichdi 3 which is produced by JD Majethia.

The reports suggest that Amit will play the role of a chef who will be hosting a cooking competition with Hansaa (played by Supriya Pathak) as one of its contestants.

Interestingly, this is the second time that the young actor will be a part of the show in this season.

Talking about the same, Dolawat told IWMBuzz.com, “My first stint in Khichdi was hilarious and the episode rated well. Within a span of two months, I have been called again for a role. This episode was also a laugh riot and I am sure it will turn out to be one of the best episodes of Khichdi Season 2.”

The actor is indeed excited to share the screen space with the Khichdi ream, but what adds on to his excitement for Khichdi 3 is that Amit will be retaining his surname onscreen as well.

"It came as a surprise to me when Writer and Producer Aatish Kapadia told me that he is going to make me and my name famous. I was happy to see my surname DOLAWAT being retained in the script. It was interesting to see people calling me by my script name," Amit added.

Apart from Khichdi 3, Amit Dolawat is busy shooting for his upcoming crime drama Dev season 2 in which he plays the role of a police inspector.

Also starring Ashish Choudhary in the lead, Dev's first season has been a huge hit amongst the audience and the team has high hopes for the second season too.

It will be interesting to see how Amit and Ashish will resolve some mysterious crime cases in Dev season 2.
