CBSE exam paper leak: Jharkhand Police detains six students, coaching centre owner from Chatra

The Jharkhand Police on Friday detained a coaching centre owner and at least six students from Chatra district of the state in connection with the leak of the CBSE class 10 mathematics paper.
Chatra district superintendent of police (SP) Akhilesh B Verior confirmed the development.
“We have detained a few students and a coaching centre owner,†said Verior told the media.
However, the SP denied to reveal anything further in connection to the detains made. “We are investigating the matter,†Verior added.
An inspector rank official not willing to be quoted said that during their probe they have learnt that the question paper were received by the students via WhatsApp from Delhi and Patna.
“We are trying to find out for how much each question paper was sold,†added the inspector.
The CBSE, admitting to the question paper leak on Wednesday, announced that around two million students will have to reappear for class 12 economics exam and class 10 mathematics exam.
Anguished over the board's decision, thousands of students held protest against the country’s biggest board.
