In a latest revelation that clearly points out Pakistan’s role in the Pulwama terror attack, forensic experts have concluded that ‘military grade’ high intensity RDX was used in the February 14 Pulwama terror attack, in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed. According to a Times of India report, such high-intensity RDX is produced by the armed forces in Pakistan and is often procured by the terror outfits. The report also said that contrary to initial probe, the experts have reached to a conclusion that the explosive-laden vehicle was not an SUV but a Maruti Eeco van.

Since such type of RDX is very stable in nature, experts say it is very much possible that it was brought to India around five-six months back. However, the forensic report specifically said that it was assembled in India within 7 km radius of the blast site.

The reason why experts are saying that the ‘military grade’ RDX shows direct role of Pakistan in the Pulwama terror attack is because every smallest amount of RDX in possession of the Indian Army is audited. However, the military in Pakistan is known for giving away the explosives to the terror outfits working in the country.

The report comes a day after several Army and police officials were injured on Monday during an encounter at Pinglan in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district. According to reports, Brigadier Harbir Singh of 12 Sector Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police South Kashmir range - Amit Kumar, a Lieutenant colonel, a Captain, and a sub-inspector have sustained injuries. Amit Kumar has been shifted to Army hospital where his condition is stated to be stable.

According to reports, Kumar has received a gunshot wound in the abdomen, and the Brigadier Commander was hurt in the leg. The names of the other Army and police officials injured were not immediately known. All the injured are stable, officials said. Four army personnel also lost their lives in the exchange of fire. The army men killed in the encounter have been identified as Major VS Dhoundiyal, Havaldar Sheo Ram, Sepoy Ajay Kumar and Sepoy Hari Singh. Besides the military personnel, one civilian was also killed during the gun battle. Head Constable Ab Rasheed Jammu and Kashmir Police was also killed in the encounter.
