Jammu and Kashmir: One BSF jawan killed, four injured in Samba blast
In yet another tragic incident, a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was killed and four others injured in a blast at a border outpost (BOP) along the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district on Monday. According to sources, the deceased has been identified as Assistant Commandant Jabbar Singh. The injured included two inspectors and two sub-inspectors and are currently out of danger. They were posted at a BSF border outpost (BOP) in Mangu Chak area.
"Jammu And Kashmir: Three Border Security Force (BSF) jawans injured in a blast in Samba sector. One Border Security Force (BSF) personnel has lost his life in the blast in Samba sector," the news agency ANI reported.

The blast took place at BOP Mangu Chak, where 173 battalions of the BSF is posted, at around 5.20 pm. Prima facie, the blast is said to be caused by some kind of projectile that had come across the border. However, the actual reason behind the blast is yet to be ascertained.
