Jammu and Kashmir: Terrorist killed in encounter with security forces in Sopore
As Many As 2 To 3 Terrorists Are Believed To Be Trapped.
One terrorist was killed in an encounter with the security forces in the Warpora area of Sopore in the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. However, his body is yet to be retrieved. As many as 2 to 3 terrorists are believed to be trapped. Earlier, Section 144 was imposed and Internet services were suspended in the area.
Acting on specific input, the security personnel launched a cordon and search operation in the Warpora area of Sopore, the police said. A senior official said the search operation turned into an encounter after the militants fired at the search party of the security men, who then returned fire.
