Stray cows will no more be seen in UP streets, special arrangement made, says Adityanath
Special arrangement for the upkeep of stray cows, dogs, monkeys, and birds would be made at every Nagar Nigam of Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Saturday while stressing against releasing cows on the street.
“Upkeep of stray cows, monkeys, dogs, birds have started in Lucknow and gradually the scheme would start in other Nagar Nigams,” Adityanath said, after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for various schemes worth Rs 346.74 crore for development of Brijbhumi.

Adityanath spoke about developing and said there would be no lack of funds to modernise the town. The special lighting arrangements made on the entry points of Mathura on the occasion of Janmashtami would become a regular feature, he said.
The chief minister also spoke about plans to develop Ayodhya, Varanasi, Allahabad and said that lighting arrangements for these holy places would be made.

“We want to make Mathura, Ayodhya, Varanasi and Allahabad alluring in order to attract more pilgrims,” he said.
UP Tirth Vikas Parishad has been set up for the beautification of all the seven pilgrimage sites in the state, he said.
The Union government has sanctioned Rs 50 crore for the development of Govardhan under Prasad scheme, he said.
Adityanath also said that his government would introduce solid waste management system in the city. And, in an effort to make Yamuna river pollution free, arrangements would be made to prevent discharge of drains into the Yamuna, he added.
