Shah Rukh Khan-owned Trinbago Knight Riders defeated Barbados Tridents by 9 runs at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain in the 28th match of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2018. Trinbago Knight Riders piled more misery on the Barbados Tridents and handed them their eighth defeat of the 2018 CPL campaign. Trinbago Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan took to micro-blogging platform Twitter to congratulate the team for their win as they lead the group tables with 7 wins and 2 defeats in 9 matches.

Riders completed their six-match winning streak with a close win over the Tridents, who are having a poor tournament. The win have ensured Riders of a top-two finish, while Tridents lie bottom of the table.
