Transfer Rumours: Is Cristiano Ronaldo really moving to Juventus from Real Madrid?

The Spanish media said goodbye to Real Madrid megastar Cristiano Ronaldo following the latest speculation surrounding the Portuguese skipper’s future and strong link regarding a move to Italian giants Juventus.

“Ciao CR7” said the headline of Barcelona newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

“Real accepts his departure, the key day will be Friday and Juventus wants to wrap up the operation so it can announce it,” the newspaper said.

The player could be unveiled to the Old Lady’s supporters in Turin as early as Saturday, with the date 7/7 (7 July) symbolic for number 7 Ronaldo.

Juventus “hopes to announce (the news) on Saturday in its stadium,” said the paper, which had the headline “Cristiano exit imminent”.

The former Manchester United southpaw was applauded at Juventus Stadium by the fans last season after his dream overhead kick in the Champions League quarter-finals.

Spain’s Marca newspaper claimed that Ronaldo has “already given his word to (Andrea) Agnelli” the president of Juventus.

“His desire to play for Juve is strong,” Marca said, giving a warning that the Turin club had not yet received a firm offer from Real Madrid.

The paper also said that while Ronaldo’s buy-out clause is set at 1 billion euro but ‘the player and his representatives say there is a signed document freeing him for 100 million’.

Juventus have offered the galactico a four-year contract with 30 million euros per year, as per the media reports.

The 33-year-old forward hinted a departure after May’s Champions League final victory, saying ‘the journey has been amazing’.

Real Madrid have lifted the La Liga twice and UEFA Champions league four times since Cristiano Ronaldo moved to the Los Blancos from Manchester United in 2009.
