Kane Williamson's unbeaten 106 off 138 deliveries while chasing a stiff target of 242 set by South Africa at Edgbaston in Birmingham turned out to be a match winning knock as New Zealand managed to upstage Proteas comprehensively in the end to go top on the points table. South Africa played their heart out but was overshadowed by some stupendous all-around performance from the team in form. With this loss, South Africa have been knocked out of this mega event and their losing streak against Kiwis is set to continue for a minimum of four years.
