US Open: Roger Federer crashes out after losing to 55th-ranked John Millman
Roger Federer has been sent crashing out of the fourth round of the US Open 2018 as Australian John Millman sealed a 3-6, 7-5, 7-6, 7-6 upset over the ATP World no. 2. The remarkable win is Millman’s first against a top 10 player as he became the second Aussie to win against Federer in a grand slam game after Pat Rafter in 1999.
The 29-year-old worked tirelessly hard to better Federer’s efforts as the tense game kept everyone at the edge of their seats.

“I felt like a bit of a deer in headlights to begin with, to be honest with you,” Millman said.
“The feet weren’t moving. Roger had it on a string, he was manipulating me around the court," he added
The 55th ranked Millman was as stunned as the whole world due to the fact that Federer has an unbeaten record (40-0) against players ranked 50 or more at the US Open.

“A little bit of disbelief, he’s been a hero of mine. “He’s definitely not at his best, but I’ll take it,” said Millman after defeating Federer.
“I got out of a tough second set and really found my feet and started to be a bit more aggressive," he added.
Earlier, Federer blew World No. 30 Nick Kyrgios by straight sets in the third round.
Millman is now set to take on World No. 6 Novak Djokovic in the US Open quarterfinals on Thursday.
