Exide launches India's first sealed, maintenance-free battery

Exide Industries Ltd, one of India's most reliable technology brands, on Tuesday unveiled India's first completely sealed and maintenance-free battery for the automotive after-market.

Advanz, the new battery is currently the "only one of its kind in the Indian market" that does not require any topping up, the company said in a statement.

"Among other advanced features, this is also the country's only battery equipped with a magic eye that can accurately indicate the health of the battery and determine its end of life," the battery major said.

However, the company is yet to disclose the pricing details of Advanz.

The product will be available for all types of cars in the Indian market and is expected to come with a 15-month warranty.
