Huawei’s Kirin 980 specs leaked ahead of its launch in August
The specs of upcoming Kirin 980 have been leaked on the internet by a Chinese sources ahead of its launch. Huawei’s in-house processor Kirin 980 is expected to launch by late August at IFA.
As per the sources, the new processor will have a maximum clock speed of 2.8 GHz for the top four Cortex-A77.
Kirin 980 will be built on the 7nm FinFET process by TSMC and is expected to be 1.5 times faster than the Adreno 630 which is currently paired with Snapdragon 845 by Qualcomm.
If Sources are to be believed, the new Kirin 980 processor to arrive with Huawei Mate 20 and Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
Huawei has recently introduced the Kirin 710 SoC as a successor for the Kirin 659. The recently launched Nova 3i is the first smartphone from the company to feature the new 10nm mid-range SoC from the company.
