Lenovo to launch world’s first 5G smartphone; know all about it
Gone are the days of 4G mobile phones, Chinese smartphone maker Lenovo is now working on the world’s first ever next generation 5G smartphone that could be launched in the first quarter of 2019. If the reports are to be believed, Lenovo will launch its technological marvel a 5G-ready smartphone powered with Snapdragon 855 SoC in the beginning of 2019.
Taking to Weibo, Lenovo Vice President Chang Cheng made the announcement that their company would be the first to launch the Next-gen 5G phone.ALSO READ | Asus Zenfone 5Z with 256GB variant on sale today for first time
"The world's first 5G mobile phone comes from Lenovo. Comment 1: Qualcomm Xiaolong 855 blessing....," Cheng wrote on Weibo.
Qualcomm hasn’t debuted its Snapdragon 855 chip yet, but it is speculated that the powerful chip is already in the making. It’s likely to be released at Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit in the first week of December.

However, the information on the price and other specifications of Lenovo’s ambitious 5G phone were not yet available and buyers will have to wait till the announcement is made officially.
