From United Nations, Donald Trump sends ‘love’ to India, regards to ‘friend’ Modi
US President Donald Trump had a brief interaction with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj during a high-level event on counter-narcotics hosted by the earlier at the United Nations on Monday.
During the small interaction with Swaraj, Trump expressed his ‘love’ for India and sent warm regards to ‘friend’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
As Trump left the podium after the conclusion of the event, US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley warmly hugged Swaraj and introduced her to the US president.

When Swaraj told the US president that Modi has sent warm greetings for him, Trump responded, “I love India, give my regards to my friend PM Modi,” PTI quoted Indian diplomatic sources as saying.
Swaraj attended the Global Call to Action on the World Drug Problem chaired by Trump as the high-level week of the 73rd Session of the UN General Assembly began at United Nations.
