We will retaliate if India wants war: Imran Khan after Pulwama terror attack
In A Tone That Will Reset The Indo-Pak Ties, Khan Said That New Delhi Is In Habit Of Blaming Pakistan For Anything And Everything.
In a statement that can ratchet up the ongoing tension between New Delhi and Islamabad after the Pulwama terror attack, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday put the onus of peace in the region on India. “If you (Indian govt) thinks you will attack us and we will not think of retaliating, we will retaliate. We all know starting a war is in the hands of humans, where it will lead us only God knows. This issue should be solved through dialogue,†Khan added. In a brief national broadcast, Khan said that, “in case India goes for war, Pakistan will have no option but to retaliate.†In a tone that will reset the Indo-Pak ties, Khan said that New Delhi is in habit of blaming Pakistan for anything and everything. “If any attack happens in Kashmir, India always blames Pakistan.â€Â
Putting an onus on New Delhi, Khan said that India must provide proof on its alleged involvement in Pulwama terror attack. Khan also said that in case India wants, Islamabad is ready to join probe. He also said that Pakistan is the worst victim of terrorism and asked that what will the nation gain from such an act. Curiously, there was no word on condemning the February 14 attack in which 40 CRPF troopers were killed in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama.
There was lot of buzz on social media pointing out that it was not a live broadcast and several cut could be noticed in the recorded statement. It must be noted that the timing of the statement comes as Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammsd bin Salman is visiting India today.Â
