New Delhi :

It’s been a fairy tale for 23-year-old Pakistan’s fast bowler Mohammad Amir as he is selected in limited overs for the tour of New Zealand. If the fast bowler will play for Pakistan, then he will be the third player after South Africa’s Herschelle Gibbs and West Indies Marlon Samuels.

Amir has been selected for the first time since serving out his ban for spot-fixing in the Lord's Test of 2010. He was first spotted by Wasim Akram at the age of 17 during a trail and after two years he was selected in national side.

With Mohammad Asif, he made a lethal bowling pair and they both hunt in pairs. At the age of 19, he was the best in business and created trouble for many batsmen with the pace and swing.

Amir played his first international match during the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 and help the national side to lift the trophy. After his successful 2009 T20 World Cup, Amir was selected in the Test squad for the series in Sri Lanka, where he took

In the summer of 2010, he was awarded the man of the match award for becoming the youngest player to ever take a five-wicket haul in England. He also became the youngest player to take 50 test wickets earning praise from several former international cricketers.

In 2010, he was banned for 5-years for allegedly involved in spot fixing and bowling deliberate no balls during Lord’s Test. Amir was convicted, along with teammates Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif, of conspiracy charges relating to spot-fixing and given a six-month prison sentence.

His return was not welcomed by ODI skipper Azhar Ali and Mohammed Hafeez, but the PCB warned both the players.

With the inclusion of Amir, is Pakistan trying to say the team has lost its credibility or unable to produce good fast bowlers.
