Netflix’s launch in India has started showing its impact on the incumbent video service providers. The DTH service provider Tata Sky has made its Everywhere TV service free for its users.
Tata Sky was previously charging Rs 60 extra per month for the Everywhere TV service, that allows its users to stream TV channels on the go using the official Tata Sky app.
The DTH operator has told Gadgets 360 that the Everywhere TV service is now free for all its subscribers. The users can stream more than 80 live channels on the Tata Sky app.
Launched in October 2013 at Rs 60 per month, the service can now be accessed free on apps for for iOS, Android, Mac and Windows PC devices. However, it is currently not available for Windows phone.
