Google maps one of the most useful navigation apps in the world is all set for its first major update in 2016. Several new features like Driving mode and more will be included in this update.
The new Android version 9.19 will see 'intelligent' Driving mode which essentially utilises the user's location history and Web searches to provide traffic updates. This feature is currently not available on Google Play but can be expected to be rolled out soon.
The update has an inclusion of several other minor yet useful additions across the board, such as newly designed settings on the timeline view. This on-screen toggle can be used for turning on or off the turn-by-turn voice assistance. Also now users will be able to control what the users see and restrict data usage.
