With great technology comes great pain, like the tech neck, from which many of us suffer. For those who are still guessing what exactly tech neck is, it is the pain in your shoulders and neck which is caused when you use computers and mobiles for long time.
In current technological situations, we are bound to spend more and more time on the computers and mobile phones as a result of which we face several health issues, especially the pain in the neck and shoulders.
Are you also suffering from tech neck? Well, fret not! NAMU, a Korean startup, has unveiled a Kickstarter for ALEX, a wearable posture tracker. Isn’t it strange that a problem caused by technology is being cured by a technology itself?
Well ALEX, a device that fits around the back of your neck, is here to fix the problem. How does it work? Well, it senses real time position of your head and neck. If you are glued to your computer or mobile and bend your neck down for longer than a few minutes, the device vibrates and reminds you to sit up straight.
You can also customise it to prevent non-stop vibration due to your head’s default position. The device can be paired with an app too so that you can track your posture progress.
ALEX is however still in the Kickstarter stages.
