New Delhi :

The intolerance debate is back in India with filmmaker Karan Johar once again brewing the political storm by saying that "the talk about freedom of expression is the biggest joke I believe in the world. Democracy is the second biggest joke I think."

He even wondered how India is really democratic! "How is there freedom of expression? As a filmmaker, I feel bound at every level be it what I put out on celluloid or what I say in print," he said at the ongoing Jaipur Literature Festival.

His remarks once again put the spotlight on the intolerance debate in country with the Congress hitting out against the Modi government accusing it of stifling freedom of expression and BJP dismissing the criticism saying India is the most tolerant country.

To gather a better idea and to discuss the pros and cons of such a debate, News Nation in its exclusive programme Question Hour tried to crossquestion several personalities who are influential in their respective fields.
