About 120 professional golfers from across India and neighbouring countries are expected to take part in the Golconda Masters Golf Championship, to be held here from February 25 to 28.
“Professional Golf Tour of India, (PGTI) the governing body of professional golf in India, is proud to have partnered with the HGA (Hyderabad Golf Association) for their professional golf championship in Hyderabad,” a release from the organisers said here today.
“This is a 72-hole tournament played over four days and after the first 36 holes of play, the top 50 finishers will continue to play for another 36 holes over the last two days.
“This event will be played in the stroke-play format. The player who finishes the 72 holes with the least amount of strokes will be crowned as the Golconda Masters Golf Champions for 2016,” it added.
