 Patiala House Court will today begin the hearing in infamous National Herald Case.

The Patiala House Court will today begin the hearing in infamous National Herald Case, where Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice-president Rahul Gandhi face trials as accused. Bharatiya Janata Party leader Subhramanian Swamy wrote about the development in social media.  

“Today I am at Patiala House Magistrate’s Court on the NH case. It will be about documents. After Holi pre-charge arguments will begin,” Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy tweeted.

O March 11th, a Delhi court has given the its nod to Swamy’s plea seeking the balance sheets of Indian National Congress (INC) and Associated Journals Pvt. Ltd (AJL) for the purpose of investigation in the case.

The BJP leader had pleded the Patiala House Court about to summon certain documents related to the financial details of Congress, AJL and Young Indian Pvt. Ltd.

The infamous National Hherald Case relates to the Indian National Congress granting an interest-free loan of Rs. 90.25 crore to Associated Journals Limited (AJL).

Associated Journals Limited is the owner of the National Herald newspaper which was established by Jawaharlal Nehru in 1938.

The prime accuses Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi hold major shares in Associated Journals Limited.
