HBSE Class 10th Result 2016: State board declared its results; 51 pc fail

Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) has declared its class 10th results on Sunday. Around 51 pc of students have failed in the exam. Sonipat recorded the highest pass percentage at 69.84 per cent, and Faridabad recorded the lowest at 34.47 per cent.

The results have shown slight improvement from last year’s 45.8 pc. The results were a shock for many as it came after day after the Class XII CBSE results, which saw a pass percentage of 84.11 per cent and girls outshining the boys.

Around 3.17 lakh students took the HBSE examination. The girls performed better than the boys with a pass percentage of 52.62 percent as compared to 45.71 percent of the boys. A total of 69,350 students got a re-appear.
