New Delhi:

Amid protests against the derogatory remarks made by Dayashankar Singh against Mayawati and the Una issue, the BSP supremo on Thursday said in Rajya Sabha that "Dalits across the country feel hurt".

Here are the highlights:

-Everyone talks about the atrocities on Dalits in Parliament, but nothing happens practically

-Even after the constitution was laid down by Babasaheb Ambedkar, Dalits still have not received their full rights

-Unfortunate that discrimination agaist Dalits in country hasn't ended despite BJP, Congress long tenure after independence

-Atrocities on Dalits continue to happen, but they do not get justice and that's why Dalits are sad

-Forget about Dalits getting justice, even their FIR is not filed many times and the latest example is Una (Gujrat) incident

-This Una incident case should run in a fast track court, and also we demand that one of the judge should be a Dalit

-When BJP is in power they politicise the atrocities on Dalits and Congress does the same when in power; this should stop
