The panel which was formed to investigate the Parliament security breach video by AAP MP Bhagwant Mann has requested the Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan to send Mann to rehab centre for alcohol de-addiction. The AAP parliamentarian is currently facing heat for posting a Parliament proceeding video on social media.
According to reports, MPs including Chandumajra, Mahesh Giri, Harinder Khalsa wrote to the Speaker asking to send Mann to rehab centre for alcohol de-addiction.
“Would be grateful that Bhagwant Mann be sent on a Rehab centre for drugs/alcohol de-addiction by LS on LS expenditure. Only after that Bhagwant Mann should be allowed to attend the proceedings of the house,” MPs write to Speaker.
There is unanimity in the nine member committee that action must be taken against the AAP MP for breaching the security of the house.
Earlier, Mann submitted a 5-page letter to the panel and wrote that he hasn’t committed any mistake.
