Great Britain swimmer Adam Peaty breaks 100m breaststroke world record at Rio 2016 Olympic Games.Adam Peaty, who in his Olympic debut at the age of 21, broke the 100m breaststroke world record. He broke his own 100m breaststroke world record in a remarkable time of 57.55 seconds. 

Adam Peaty specializes in the breaststroke, has represented Great Britain at the Olympic Games, FINA world championships, and European championships, and England in the Commonwealth Games. At Rio Games he qualified fastest in 57.62 seconds as he aims to become the first British male to win an individual Olympic swimming gold since 1988.
