Indian women’s hockey team dished out a disappointing performance to suffer a 1-6 thrashing at the hands of a rampaging Australia in their third fixture at the Rio Olympics on Wednesday. Experienced Indian archer Laishram Bombayla Devi advanced to the pre-quarterfinals of the women's individual recurve competition after defeating Chinese Taipei's Lin Shih-Chia at the Rio Olympics on Wednesday. India's strong pistol shooting hope Jitu Rai crashed out of his pet 50m event without making the final.
