Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh affiliated student party ABVP has won the positions of President, Vice President & Secretary in the latest Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections, while NSUI secured the position of Joint Secretary. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) strongman Mohammad Shahabuddin on Saturday walked out of prison on bail after 11 years with much fanfare and praised party chief Lalu Prasad. From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to India's lone individual Olympic gold-medallist Abhinav Bindra, congratulatory messages poured in from all corners for Rio Paralympic Games' T-42 high-jump gold-medallist Mariyappan Thangavelu and bronze winner Varun Bhati. 1. DUSU polls results: ABVP wins Pres, VP and Secy posts, NSUI wins Joint Secy

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh affiliated student party ABVP has won the positions of President, Vice President & Secretary in the latest Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections, while NSUI secured the position of Joint Secretary. From ABVP winners are Amit Tanwar - President, Priyanka Chabri - VP, Ankit Sangwan - Secretary. Mohit Sangwan from NSUI has been elected as Joint Secretary.

2. 'A little damage has happened', says Shahabuddin when asked whether prolonged jail term harmed him politically

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) strongman Mohammad Shahabuddin on Saturday walked out of prison on bail after 11 years with much fanfare and praised party chief Lalu Prasad. However, the RJD's 'Bahubali' leader clearly hinted that that there was no love lost between him and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

4. Delhi shamed again: Woman gangraped by auto driver, his friend in Laxmi Nagar; cops nab culprits

Another horrific rape incident came from Delhi where a woman was gang raped by an auto driver and his friend on Friday morning. The incident happened at Pusa road near Laxmi Nagar. The woman boarded their auto for New Delhi railway station at around 4AM in the morning; she was supposed to catch her train for Lucknow.
