Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended a warm welcome to Russian President Vladimir Putin, who reached New Delhi for BRICS summit to be held on October 15-16 in Goa. The death toll of Ratlam bus accident has reached 14. In an unfortunate incident, a bus fell into gorge in Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam. The bus was carrying 40 passengers. The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to join Chief Minister Pema Khandu led-Peoples Party of Arunachal (PPA) on Friday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended a warm welcome to Russian President Vladimir Putin, who reached New Delhi for BRICS summit to be held on October 15-16 in Goa. PM Modi and Putin will also meet for a bilateral session in which the two leaders are likely to ink a Rs 39,000 crore defence deal for stealth frigates and S-400 anti-aircraft system. 

2. Watch: 14 killed after bus carrying 40 passengers falls in to gorge in MP's Ratlam

The death toll of Ratlam bus accident has reached 14. In an unfortunate incident, a bus fell into gorge in Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam. The bus was carrying 40 passengers. According to News Nation reporter on the spot, the initial rescue operations were carried out by local villagers, who rushed immediately to spot after the accident.

3. Arunachal Pradesh: BJP set to join Khandu led-PPA government; BJP leader Tamiyo Taga to be included in cabinet

The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to join Chief Minister Pema Khandu led-Peoples Party of Arunachal (PPA) on Friday. BJP leader Tamiyo Taga will be included in the cabinet. Arunachal Pradesh will become 14th state in the country where BJP is in ruling government. It is also 6th state where BJP has joined hands with regional parties.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has said in an interview with a newspaper that in the present scenario, he may not wait for anyone to start campaigning for the 2017 assembly elections. He also added that he may be cornered but can’t be defeated. "When I was a child, there was no one to name me. In the same way, I think I will have to start my election campaign on my own, without waiting for anyone. I am not being pompous. But, just like a perfect batsman whose runs flow from his bat and create records, my unprecedented development work will ensure my return to power” he told a newspaper.

5. New York Times dares Donald Trump to go ahead with his lawsuit threat, stands by its story accusing Republican nominee of sexual assault

Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump has denied allegations of sexual assault on women and asked New York Times to retract its story ‘Two Women Say Donald Trump Touched Them Inappropriately’. Further, his team has also threatened the newspaper with a lawsuit threat.
