Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Yadav addressed a press conference on Wednesday after SP leader Pawan Pandey was expelled from the party on grounds off clash with SP MLC Ashu Malik.
Shivpal Yadav put forward his stand on on the alleged ‘rumours’ of internal rift. "We have written a letter to UP CM to sack Pawan Pandey of the Ministerial position over clash with MLC Ashu Malik" Senior SP leader also stated.
This political turmoil has been brewing from the last two years between uncle Shivpal Yadav and nephew Akhilesh Yadav but was somehow kept under wraps. But the rift has become quite apparent with squabbling, Shivpal’s mic snatching and Akhilesh’s tears making the confrontation an evident thing.
Pawan Pandey had clashed with SP MLC Ashu Malik at party meet and also beaten him up. Pandey is also considered close to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
Shivpal's latest move to expel Pandey, who is close to Akhilesh, comes a day after SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav sought to project an 'all is well' image.
