New Delhi:

Television actor Kamlesh Pandey, who has portrayed the role of a police inspector in Sony TV's popular show 'Crime Patrol', has committed suicide on Monday night. The incident took place in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.

Reportedly, Kamlesh killed himself by shooting in his chest.

While the reason behind Pandey's suicide is not known yet, it is reported that the actor took the drastic step post an argument with his relatives.

The media reports suggest that Kamlesh was upset with his wife's sister Anjani Chaturvedi for not consulting him while fixing her daughter's wedding. Later, Anjani even got her daughter married without inviting Kamlesh to any of the wedding ceremonies which added fuel to the fire.

Irked by this, the 38 year old actor visited Chaturvedi's house in a drunken state on last night. Kamlesh reportedly had an altercation with his sister-in-law after which he took out a revolver. Apparently, he fired a shot in the air first and then went on to shooting himself.

Soon after the incident, Kamlesh was taken to the hospital, where he was said to be brought dead. His family has reported the matter to the Jabalpur police, who are now waiting for the postmortem reports to pursue their investigation.

Kamlesh Pandey is survived his wife and two children - a 15-year-old daughter and a 12-year-old son.
