Chhattisgarh:
A CRPF jawan from Madhya Pradesh has presented with a cheque of Rs four lakh for the bravery shown by him in a face-off with Naxals in Chhattisgarh.
The in-charge District Collector Shivraj Singh Verma on Wednesday handed over the cheque for the exgratia amount to CRPF jawan Manoj Singh. Officials said the amount was given to the jawan for the display of bravery during an encounter with nasality inSukma district of Chhatisgarh on March 11, 2015, in which he was injured seriously.
The amount was handed over to the jawan at his Kakka Nagar residence. This financial assistance was provided from MP ChiefMinister's Kargil Welfare fund.
