New Delhi:
Mohammed Shami will miss the One-Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) series against England, set to be played early next year due to his right-knee injury.
Shami had undergone a knee surgery after the last World Cup and was out for 15 months. Later he returned for the home series against England but suffered a right-knee injury in the third test.
This injury will add up to the concern of National selectors as Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawn and Rohit Sharma are already warming the injury bench of Indian National Cricket team.
Ishant Sharma is most likely to fill in the place vacated by 26-year-old pacer’s injury. Selectors might also discuss the name of veteran pacer Ashish Nehra for the limited overs series.
