New Delhi:

With the recent turn of political events, many took a respite on the final day of voting for ninth phase of Lok Sabha polls 2014 on Monday. Even though the blame game will soon begin on May 16, we took a look at which all 'newsmakers' will be missed badly after the historic polls.

Here is our satirical take:

The ‘super-silent PM’ Manmohan Singh: We decided to remain mum about him first as that describe him the best, but then thought of giving him some last respects as PM. As usual he failed to impress his audiences in his speeches during Lok Sabha polls 2014. He was just once in limelight for being aggressive, after he said BJP leader Narendra Modi will be a disaster if he got to rule India.

Narendra Modi: The man will be known for some fiery speeches during Lok Sabha polls. Creating market boom (all the products on his name like rotis, caps, t-shirts) in the country with his saffron wave, the man addressed 437 big rallies, participated in a total 5827 public interfacing events and traveled over three lakh kilometres across 25 states for campaigning.

Arvind Kejriwal: The nation will definitely miss his dharnas and dramatic speeches. With his only aim of stopping Modi, Kejriwal did some good roadshows as well. And, how can one forget the ‘famous slaps’- he may be the only politician to be hit maximum number of times.

Rahul Gandhi: ‘Mere Papa ko maara, mere Dadi ko maara’, if we could not get enough of that, this youngggg ’43-year-old bachelor’ had the guts to bore us with ‘Maa, Papa, Dadi and Rahul’s memories’ in almost all his plain speeches.

Sonia Gandhi: The manipulative politician finally remembered all her family credentials and turned into 'Gandhi bahu' and a doting mother for her failing son Rahul Gandhi by appealing votes in Amethi.

Priyanka Gandhi: Considered by many as Indira’s look-alike, Priyanka turned out to be a lifesaver for her brother Rahul Gandhi in Amethi. She refused to take part in active politics but never let her guard down against the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

Robert Vadra: Riding a wave of ‘Gandhi family’s success’, Vadra was in news for corruption issues and infamous land deals. Fashion magazines also made his presence felt during Lok Sabha polls by terming him as a ‘political spouse with a vivid fashion sense’ eehhh (Pink pants and V-neck sweatshirt- a fashion statement from where we wonder)!!!

Azam Khan: The communal leader, who was troubled for one of his buffaloes went missing, never winced at his idea of mixing patriotism with politics. (He said Kargil martyrs were all Muslims and raked controversy).

Amit shah: Narendra Modi’s ‘advocate’, Amit Shah termed Azamgarh a terrorist base; he was also in news for the snoopgate issue and Ishrat Jahan encounter case.

Mulayam Singh: Father to a state’s Chief Minister, this veteran leader feels that boys’ commit mistakes (rapes) sometimes for which they should not be hanged. Really Mr Yadav!

Kumar Vishwas: Known to have taken a house in Amethi ahead of LS polls, this poet-turned-politician has a very ‘poetic’ way of addressing his politicians.

Digvijay: The poll-khol king drew flak for his extre-marital relationship with a renowned journalist Amrita Rai. What was that saying again- ‘People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones at others’! Hearing Diggi???

Ramdev: And, last but not the least who can forget the Yoga Guru for making famous ‘Dalit honeymoon remark’ over Rahul Gandhi. Well, a sadhu must know that others have their life, too! Not so saintly act Babaji!!!
