Charlie Hebdo tragedy: Former UP minister offers Rs 51 crores to attackers

The whole world is in complete shock after the terrorist attack that struck Paris on Wednesday, but this former minister from Lucknow Haji Yakub Qureshi, stirred a controversy by saying that he will reward the attackers by giving them Rs 51 cores.

According to reports published in a Hindi newspaper, Yakub said, "I will reward the attackers who killed Charlie Hebdo Editor, cartoonist of the infamous Prophet poster, with Rs 51 crores."

Yakub Qureshi contested from Lucknow in 2014 Lok Sabha polls. Yakub is known for making controversial statements.

In 2006 also he announced a reward of Rs 51 crore for killing of the Danish cartoonist who caricatured Prophet Mohammad.

Cartoonist Cabu, who was behind the original Prophet cartoons, was among the 4 dead in Charlie Hebdo Paris attack.

The attack was strictly condemned by the world leaders and UN Security Council.
