News Nation Exit poll: AAP set for a sweeping victory after a year in Delhi; Arvind Kejriwal favourite CM candidate

Delhi has voted for change again and this time the competition has toughened for BJP with the re-emergence of Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal in the national capital.

However, News Nation in its bid to survey the mood of Delhi has tried to bring to you the projections which might turn into a clear verdict on ‘Super Tuesday’ i.e. February 10.

Minutes after voting in Delhi, News Nation's Exit Poll predicted a clear majority for Aam Aadmi Party in the national capital. The predictions also showed Arvind Kejriwal emerging as the most preferred Chief Minister candidate.

The exit poll gives 41 to 45 seats to AAP as BJP lags behind Kejriwal’s party with only 23 to 27 seats in hand.

Congress on the other hand is able to bag only 1-3 seats in our survey.

Arvind Kejriwal yet again seems to be the most preferred Chief Minister candidate with 47 per cent vote share. He is way ahead of Kiran Bedi with 39 per cent of voters opting for her.

Ajay Maken seems to lose in the CM’s race with only 9 per cent votes.

The exit poll was conducted on February 7 with a sample size of nearly 5000 randomly selected respondents across Delhi.

Projections:

SEAT: AAP- 41 to 45; BJP- 23 to 27; CONGRESS- 1 to 3; OTHERS- 2

VOTE SHARE: BJP- 39; AAP- 47; CONGRESS- 11, OTHERS- 3

MOST SUITABLE CANDIDATE: Arvind Kejriwal- 47%; Kiran Bedi-39%; Ajay Maken- 9%, Can’t say- 5%
