Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah on Sunday hit out at the Congress and the party’s vice president Rahul Gandhi for having relationship with people having alleged links with anti-national groups. The BJP president, during a press conference in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar claimed that dalit leader Jignesh Mewani allegedly accepted money from Popular Front of India (PFI) and the Congress vice president is promoting a person having alleged links with anti-nationals. Shah said, “Mewani’s pictures of accepting money from PFI has gone viral. PFI is indulged in anti-national activities.†He added, “Rahul Gandhi meets such a person who has relations with an anti-national outfit.†Also read: BJP calls off Amit Shah's poll rallies due to Cyclone Ockhi The BJP president also claimed that Congress knew about Mewani’s link with PFI. Shah said, “Congress knew Mewani’s link with PFI so they did not give him a ticket instead are supporting him from outside.â€
