A day after Mani Shankar Aiyar's 'neech aadmi' remark, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday reminded the country of the epithets given to him by Congress president Sonia Gandhi and other senior leaders.
Modi while addressing a public gathering in Gujarat’s Nikol said, "This was not the first time he was called ‘neech.’ Congress President Sonia Gandhi and her family members had called him names several times in the past too."
Modi further reminded people of another similar incident when senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh compared him with demon king Ravana.
Furthermore, Modi recalled several other incidents when he was compared to with Hitler, Mussolini and Gaddafi by a senior Congress leader of Uttar Pradesh.
“Day and night the Congress has abused me. I keep quiet only because my priority is work,” he added.
The prime minister, while addressing the rally asked, “Why am I Neech. Is it because I was born poor, or I am of a lower caste or is it because I am a Gujrati?”
Modi said, “Day and night the Congress has abused me. I keep quiet only because my priority is work.”

Modi didn't stop here and went on to recall few more incidents. He said, "One Congress leader Renuka Chowdhury called me a Virus, another said I am mentally unsound.”

Modi further added, “Imran Masood, a candidate in the election fray, has threatened to cut me into pieces.”
Earlier in the day, during a rally in Banskota, Modi accused Mani Shankar Aiyar of offering "Supari" on his head during his Pakistan visit after 2014 Lok Sabha election.
