The BJP has fielded TikTok star Sonali Phogat against Congress’ sitting MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi from Adampur seat in Haryana. The state is to go to polls on 21st October along with Maharashtra. With a target of winning 75 out of 90 assembly seats in poll-bound Haryana, the BJP is leaving no stone unturned to punch holes in Congress vote bank.
Sonali Singh Phogat who hails from Bhuthan village of Fatehabad district is quite a star on TikTok and her username ‘@sonaliphogat’.

Sonali was married to Sanjay Phogat of Harita, Hisar who died under mysterious circumstances in his farm in December 2016, when Sonali was in Mumbai. Her elder sister is also married in the same Phogat family with Sanjay's elder brother. Sonali has a seven-year-old daughter.
Adampur falls in the Hisar region of Haryana and has been a stronghold of Bhajanlal family. Bhajanlal family members have never lost an election fighting from Adampur seat since 1967. Congress’ Kuldeep Bishnoi himself has won it thrice.
