Assembly Election Results 2019: Updates Of 288 Seats In Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha, 90 Seats In Haryana, 2 Lok Sabha And 51 Assembly Bypolls.

Assembly Election Results 2019: The ruling BJP-Shiv Sena alliance on Thursday looked on course to retaining power in Maharashtraas per trends available. At 11.30 AM, BJP was leading in 101 while Shiv Sena was ahead in 64 seats. NCP (52) looked set to perform better than partner Congress (39). The Sharad Pawar led party has fared better than itsparent party, which seems to have held on to its tally in 2014 elections. The Independents were ahead in 25 seats.

On the other hand, it was a close contest in Haryana with Congress giving good fight to ruling BJP while JJP leader Dushyant Chautala emerged as possible kingmaker in the state.  At 11.30 AM, BJP was leading in 39 while Congress was leading in 31 seats. JJP was leading in 11 seats with INLD ahead at 2 and other in 7 seats. 

In the bypoll for Satara Lok Sabha sea, BJP candidate Udayanraje Bhosale was trailing behind NCP nominee Shriniwas Patil. Prince Raj of Lok Jan Shakti Party was leading from his late father Ramchandra Paswan's seat in Bihar's Samstipur.

In Maharashtra, counting of votes for the 288 Assembly segments is being conducted at 269 locations whereas in Haryana a counting centre has been set up in each of the 90 assembly constituencies and there is an additional centre in Gurgaon's Badshahpur segment, which had a larger number of polling booths. The electronic voting machines (EVMs) and the VVPAT paper trail machines used in Monday's polling are kept at strongrooms which are being guarded by personnel from the state police and paramilitary forces round the clock, an official said.

Haryana Assembly Polls 2019: BS Hooda: "The people of Haryana have given their mandate against the BJP state government. All the parties who got mandate against the BJP, be it the INLD, the JJP, the Congress, Independents or some other party, should come together and form a strong government."

Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019: Results declared for 286 Assembly constituencies. BJP secures 104 seats, Shiv Sena secures 56 seats, Congress secures 43 seats, NCP secures 54 seats. BJP and Congress leading on one each of the two remaining seats.



Haryana Assembly Results for 89 Assembly seats out of 90: BJP has won 39 seats; Congress won 31; JJP won 10 seats. Haryana Lokhit Party and Indian National Lok Dal get 1 seat each. 7 independent candidates have also won. Counting going on for Ateli Assembly seat where BJP is leading.

JJP To Support BJP?

There are reports that JJP may support BJP to form a government in Haryana. Gopal Kanda, MLA form Haryana Janhit Congress, may also support it.

Shiv Sena's Aaditya Thackeray garnered 88,962 seats winning by a margin of over 67,000 votes against Congress candidate Suresh Mane.



Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that 15 independent candidates, mostly BJP and Shiv Sena rebels, are in touch with him. 

50-50 Formula To Be Followed For CM Post: Uddhav Thackeray

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has said that they will form the government with BJP in Maharashtra. He added that the 50-50 formula agreed between the two parties will to be followed when deciding the next chief minister. 


During a press briefing, Shiv Sena chief Thackeray said that during the Lok Sabha elections this year, a 50-50 seat-sharing formula was decided between BJP-Shiv Sena. 


"Chandrakant Patil had asked us to understand their (BJP) problems and we agreed to what he asked for. We cannot continue to be accomodative anymore," he said.

In Nagaur's Khinwsar constituency, Congress candidate Harendra Mirdha is leading with a margin of 144 votes. BJP-RLP alliance candidate Narayan Beniwal is trailing in this seat.

Prince Raj of the Lok Jan Shakti Party leads over Ashok Kumar the Congress by 9,201 votes in the by-poll to Samastipur Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar.

Gujarat: Congress, BJP Leading In 3 Seats Each

Congress, BJP leading in three seats each out of six in the Gujarat assembly polls. In Tharad (Banaskantha), Kheralu (Mehsana) and Lunawada (Mahisagar) seats, the BJP candidates are leading their rivals.

Punjab Bypoll Updates

The Congress is ahead in the three seats of Jalalabad, Phagwara and Mukerian, while the SAD is leading in Dakha in the bypolls to four assembly seats of Punjab, as per early trends.


Congress nominee Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal is leading over his nearest rival and BJP nominee Rajesh Bagha by a margin of 1,852 votes from Phagwara seat, according to initial trends. From Mukerian seat, BJP nominee Jangi Lal Mahajan is trailing by 212 votes against his nearest rival and Congress candidate Indu Bala.


Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Manpreet Singh Ayali is also leading over his nearest rival and Congress nominee Sandeep Sandhu from Dakha assembly seat by 759 votes, as per initial trends.


From Jalalabad, Congress candidate Raminder Awla is ahead of SAD candidate Raj Singh Dibipura by 5,936 votes.

Uttar Pradesh (UP) Bypolls: Tanzeem Fatima of Samajwadi Party (SP) has taken a lead in Rampur. BJP's Suresh Chandra Tiwari is leading in Lucknow Cantt seat. Noman Masood of Congress has maintained a lead in Gangoh.

Haryana Key Candidates

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and his predecessor Bhupinder Singh Hooda of the Congress are among those who were leading from their respective constituencies, as per the early trends. Khattar is seeking re-election from Karnal, while Hooda is seeking re-election from his stronghold Garhi Sampla-Kiloi in Rohtak district. Haryana minister Anil Vij, a five-time legislator from Ambala Cantt, was said to be leading from his constituency in early trends.

In Haryana, BJP crosses half-way mark in early trends. 


BJP-50, Congress- 12, JJP-2, Other-1 

BJP-Shiv Sena alliance scores century in early trends, leading on 103 seats now.

In Maharashtra- out of 47 seats, BJP is leading in 26 seats now while Shiv Sena is ahead in 12 seats. Congress is leading in 5 seats while NCP are leading in 4 seats each. Others are ahead in one seat.



In Haryana, out of 34 seats, BJP is leading in 28 seats while Congress are leading in 4 seats. JJP and others are ahead in one seat each.

Fadnavis, Khattar lead

Both CMs in fray, Deverndra Fadnavis of Maharashtra and Manohar Lal Khattar of Haryana are leading in their respective seats of Nagpur South West and Karnal.   

Out of 18 early trends in Maharashtra- BJP is leading in ten seats while Shiv Sena is ahead in 3 seats, NCP is leading 3 seats while Congress is ahead in two seat. 

The first trends from Haryana are in - BJP is ahead in two seats. 

The first three trends are in from Maharashtra- BJP is leading on two seats while Shiv Sena is leading on one seat. 

The counting of votes for Mahrashtra, Haryana and bypolls has started.

Counting of votes will also be held for 51 assembly seats and two Lok Sabha constituencies spread across 17 states and one union territory. The BJP and its allies held nearly 30 of these assembly seats, the Congress 12. The rest were with regional parties.

In Haryana, 90 seats went to the polls. Haryana recorded a voter turnout of over 68 per cent, a sharp decline from 76.54 in the 2014 assembly polls. Of the total voters, 69.36 percent were men and 67.12 per cent women.

In Maharshtra, elections were held for 288 assembly seats. The majority mark lies at 145 in the state. The Sena-BJP alliance currently holds 217 seats, the Congress and the NCP 56 seats.
