Bharatpur:

In the run-up to the Assembly elections, Congress president Rahul Gandhi is on a two-day visit to poll-bound Rajasthan on Tuesday. He is holding a roadshow from Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje’s home turf Dholpur to Dausa on Tuesday. He will also attend several events in Jaipur before addressing the ‘Sankalp Rally’ in Bikaner on Wednesday.

Gandhi will cover Dholpur, Bharatpur and Dausa districts, travelling over 250 km, during the road show. The three districts have 16 assembly seats, of which a majority are with the BJP.

Rahul Gandhi claimed that the government had destroyed the country's economy with decisions such as demonetisation and Goods and Services Tax.

Here are highlights:

# 16:35: "Modi Ji appears on TV 24 hours, his posters can be seen everywhere. Nobody can appear on TV free of cost,otherwise everyone would have appeared on TV. It requires crores for marketing and PM's marketing is done by the industrialists to whom  the PM is giving crores," says Rahul Gandhi in Bari, Rajasthan.

The Bharatpur district administration granted permission for Gandhi’s rally and a roadshow in Bharatpur at the last moment.

According to Rajasthan Congress chief Sachin Pilot, Rahul will visit Bharatpur, Dausa and Dholpur on Tuesday. He will start his visit by addressing a public meeting in Mania. He will then visit Badi, Basedi, Bayana and Vair.

The state will go to polls in a single phase on December 7. Results will be declared on December 11.
