New Delhi :

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday slammed the Opposition Congress party for demanding proof of the surgical strike across the Line of Control (LoC) by the Indian Army. Addressing a rally in poll-bound Rajasthan’s Bhilwara district, the Prime Minister said that when the 26/11 Mumbai terror strike shocked the world, Congress was playing a game to win elections. The PM said that while the entire nation felt proud when the army carried out the surgical strike across the border in September 2016, the Congress party demanded video proof.

“10 years ago, a major incident took place in Mumbai on September 26. While the entire world was shocked, the Congress party was playing a game to win elections. The same Congress that used to teach the lesson of patriotism questioned the surgical strike,” PM Modi said.

“Is a soldier supposed to carry a camera when he goes to fight the enemy?” he asked.

The Prime Minister also accused the Congress party of being a well-wisher of Maoist who kills innocent people every now and then. “The Maoists kill innocent people every day. Recently, a youth from Rajasthan’s Bharatpur was martyred. And the Congress gives the Naxals, who killed the Bharatpur jawan, a tag of revolutionary,” Modi said.
