New Delhi:

In what could be a big blow for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) a week ahead of Telangana Elections 2018, a video of K Chandrasekhar Rao, the caretaker chief minister of the state, snapping at a man at an election rally has gone viral on social networking sites. The video is considered to be a political hot potato for the Opposition which may show KCR into a bad light ahead of the December 7 polls in Telangana.

Taking to Twitter, the Congress, which came out all guns blazing at Rao, posted the video, saying KCR is a "dictator".

"Drunk with power, KCR acts like a dictator. Mr KCR, you are answerable to the people of Telangana. Arrogance and dictatorship have no space in a democracy," the tweet read.

The TRS founder on Friday was addressing a rally in Kagaznagar and apparently lost his tempeer while a young man in the crowd took a sideways jibe at KCR, asking him about his assurance of bringing in 12 per cent reservations for Muslims in jobs and education.

Irked, KCR lashed out at the man and accused him of pulling a stunt. "Yes, I will talk about it but you just sit down," KCR told. Later on, the chief minister burst out, saying "Baitho. Tera baap ko bolunga na. Baitho (Sit, I will tell even your father. Sit)."

With this the situation took a dramatic turn on Friday and KCR accused the Opposition of sending the young man at his rally to drag him into the trouble. "A rival party making a person drink and sending him to this meeting cannot be ruled out. It happens," the caretaker chief minister hit back at the Congress.

The counting of votes in Telangana and four other states - Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram and Chhattisgarh will take place on December 11, 2018.

Telangana has been witnessing a high-octane political drama for over a month with prominent leaders like Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu joining hands to oust KCR government from the state. While Naidu accused KCR of working to a secret pact with the BJP, Rahul Gandhi called KCR's party a "B" team of the BJP.

The drama had a rise when star campaigners like BJP president Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi also held several roadshows to woo voters ahead of the crucial Assembly polls in the state.
